We are pleased to announce that on November 15, 2011, HealthConnect Systems was acquired by Ebix, a leading international supplier of on-demand software and e-commerce solutions for the insurance industry.  HealthConnect Systems will become part of the Ebix Health division.

The merger will significantly expand our product capabilities and presence in the insurance market. Ebix has benefits enrollment connectivity with approximately 100 health carriers and advanced agency management and CRM functionality for agents, general agents and employers. Ebix also has advanced carrier and TPA based capabilities including consolidated billing, claims processing, and core administration. Ebix Health’s A.D.A.M. division is a leading provider of health and wellness content. The combination of our respective capabilities will create the only firm in the United States with the ability to provide a complete range of services to all industry participants, including carriers, agents, general agents, third party administrators (TPA's), governmental entities, employers, employees and consumers.

The changes in our industry – the impact of health reform and the continuing pressures faced by agents, general agents and carriers – provide a significant opportunity for the combined operations. The time is now right for a complete front-end to back-end solution that we can deliver, not only to agents, general agents and employers, but also to insurance carriers and TPA's.

You should also know that despite the new corporate structure, there will be no interruption in our services and the solutions we’re delivering to the marketplace. The HealthConnect team will remain in place and continue to dedicate ourselves to your success.
