Costco added as network vision provider! Effective October 1, 2011, Costco Optical was added as an in-network vision provider,* making it even easier for vision plan members to access their benefits for eyewear. Because many retail providers like Costco are open evenings and weekends, employees don't need to take time off from work to purchase frames, lenses, and contact lenses, which benefits both employers and their workforce. Vision plan members can now utilize their in-network benefits for their eyewear needs at all Costco Optical locations throughout the country. Please note, a Costco membership is required to access benefits at Costco Optical. Go online for more information on Blue Shield's vision plans for Small Groups (2-50 employees) or Mid-Large Groups (51+ employees), or talk with your RBG representative. *Vision plan providers are available through a contracted vision plan administrator.
