Adult Premium Tax Issues
March 12 at 1:00 p.m. EST

Join Ric Joyner and Todd Martin for a two-part session covering issues with payroll and taxes of adult children with the changes to state law allowing children covered to age 27. This webinar will discuss what employers and employees don't realize about paying taxes on insurance for the adult child, such as employers needing to report the income and forward the taxes on, or how cafeteria plans are not allowed to pre-tax this amount. The benefit of this change in state law is that it opens a huge opportunity for agents to help clients and gives them the opportunity to sell individual insurance. It also makes the broker a valuable resource. Part II will be for brokers, covering what to do with business associate agreements and what needs to change for the new rules. Click here to register.
